Bitter Herbs for Spring
The first plants to emerge in springtime are bitter herbs. In this hands-on workshop we will taste various bitter herbs in tea, tincture and fresh form. We will explore how bitters are supportive to digestion, absorption of nutrients, and overall vitality.

Soulflower Sanctuary Medicine One Day Retreat: Nettle and Lemon Balm
Join me and Lisa Estabrook, Nettle and Lemon Balm in the Soulflower Sanctuary Gardens in Yarmouth, Maine for this special, intimate group day retreat. Our intention is to help participants deepen their relationships with these special plant friends that are easy to cultivate in your home herbal garden and may likely already grow right outside your back door. ​

This is a hands-on, heart opening experience where we will explore how to listen to and build lifelong relationships with these plants. By the end of the gathering participants will feel comfortable connecting with, identifying, harvesting and preparing these special plants in a variety of ways to easily incorporate them into your kitchen & home apothecary for every day wellness.

Herbal Skincare Workshop
Learn the basics of using herbs for your skin! In this hands-on workshop we will prepare a salve, lip balm and herbal scrub. We will explore various herbs that are beneficial for the skin and their herbal actions. Each participant will go home with their skin care creations.

Bundle Dyeing Workshop
Bundle dyeing or eco-printing, is a natural dye technique, using plants to impart prints and color onto fabric by tightly bundling and steaming. In this hands-on class, we will explore various techniques, use an array of plant material, and make a cotton tote bag. Participants will bring home their creations!
